Ever since the invention of the video camera, people have been recording their pets. Funny cats, in particular, are very fun to watch as they are some of the most curious animals on the planet and will get into just about anything to investigate. If you’ve ever been putting groceries away and had your cat crawl into a paper bag only to freak out when it couldn’t find its way out, you know exactly what a funny video that would make. Many people submit their funny cat videos to certain shows that showcase funny pet videos where people can win prizes. So, if you have a funny cat and its always getting into things and making your entire family laugh, get out the video camera and wait for something hilarious to happen so that hopefully you can win the funny cat video prize.
Camera Phones
Many cell phones nowadays come complete with video technology. That means that whenever your funny cat gets into anything, you can just pull out your phone to catch the action. Whether your cat is playing with the hamster cage or its watching the fish or maybe your funny cat is intently watching the television, these are the things that make hilarious videos. You usually have your phone on you so, if you have video capabilities, you should be able to catch anything your funny cat does as soon as you see it start to happen.
Love Your Cat
Just because you have a funny cat doesn’t mean that you should put it in harms way just to get a video that could possibly win you a prize. If your cat is about to do something that could harm it in any way, use your better judgment, put the camera down and get your cat out of the situation immediately. If, for instance, your cat is inching for a hot open oven door, don’t video tape it to see the cat jump, no matter how funny you think it might be. It may harm your cat and video taping the incident is just as bad as abusing your animal. Be smart and only catch innocent things your funny cat may do.
Once you have that prized video in hand, send it off and pray that your funny cat brings you fortune and fame. If nothing else, at least it brought a few laughs, which is as good a prize as any.

Cats are beautiful, graceful creatures, and as Halloween rolls around, it’s only natural to want to pay homage to their mysterious beauty. And it’s always been said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Therefore, why not put on cat make up and a cat costume for your next costume party?
Cat Make Up Kits
There are several cat make up kits on the market. Some emphasize the sexuality of a hot blooded female cat, others focus more on the goofiness of the kitten, still others are slightly forbidding, reminding us that the cat is only partially domesticated whatever we may think. Many cat make up kits will transform you into a feline who looks like an extra for a production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats.
The kits vary greatly in price, but they all come with basic cat make up and instructions for applying it.
Cat costumes are also readily available both online and in costume stores. Again, you’ll have a wide selection to choose from–everything from the comic-looking Cat in the Hat to outfits so skimpy a Las Vegas cocktail waitress would be shy about wearing them.
But I Want to Do My Own Cat Make Up!
You can’t go too far wrong with a cat make up kit, but there’s always the chance that you’ll show up for your Halloween event looking just like someone else. If you want to be truly unique, do your own make up.
You’ll need grease paint (color according to your preference), a white highlighter, eyeliner, mascara or false eyelashes, and lipstick and lip liner. If you’re really into creating the perfect costume, consider purchasing a latex nose, some spirit gum, and a bristly black paint brush to provide whiskers.
There are several online sites that can coach you on the basics of applying cat make up. Study them to get ideas. Then, on a piece of drawing paper, make a rough sketch of your ideal cat face. Think about the image you want to project. Is your inner cat warm and cuddly, or aloof and mysterious? Are you a kitten or a crone?
When you’re ready to start applying your cat make up, do so carefully. If you make a mistake with grease paint, it’s hard to wash off. You might want to enlist a friend to help you get your make up just right.
When you’re finally finished, it’s off to the party. Just remember to conduct yourself with the appropriate amount of feline pride. After all, just a few thousand years ago, your ancestors were worshipped as gods.

If you’ve ever had a black cat cross your path, you probably felt a feeling of dread. That’s because there’s a certain stigma associated with the black cat. They’re not supposed to cross your path as it could give you bad luck, as the old superstition goes. Why do black cats have such a reputation? There are many theories.
Witches Pets
Ever since people have believed in the existence of witches, we’ve seen them with a pet. This pet is usually a black cat. Maybe it’s because of their dark appearance or maybe it stems from an even further legend as to why witches, if they even exist, choose a black cat as their faithful friend. Whatever it is, every year, come Halloween time, you’ll see plenty of witches and you’ll see plenty of black felines right along with them. Maybe it’s the witches that gave black cats such a bad name. Or, maybe it was something else entirely.
The point is, the black cat has gotten a bad rep. In fact, many shelters who hold black cats won’t let people rescue or adopt them for fear that they’ll be used in some sick ritual. It sounds very said, and it is, but it’s also true. This stigma towards the black cat has to stop. They are just as loving and pure and friendly and kind as any other breed of cat.
If you are ever wanting a cat, don’t believe all of those stupid superstitions. Just go out and get yourself a cat, even if it’s a black one. If it crosses your path, be thankful, because all it’s probably trying to do is rub up against your legs as cats sometimes do. Don’t be afraid. It’s a cat, after all, it just happens to be a color that causes others to see it as demonic or evil. This is just nonsense and people should forget the fairytales and love a black feline just as they would any other color cat.
Black cats aren’t evil and they deserve to be treated as a pet, just as cats are intended to be. Once you see that your cat isn’t the demonic being everyone makes it out to be, you can go on educating all of those hard headed people who avoid black cats as they would a loose wild tiger, which, again, is just nonsense.

Domesticated cats have been part of human’s life since ancient Egypt or at least that is how far the history books record their existence. The domesticated cat is also the smallest mammal from the cat family and it is carnivorous as all the others larger cats such as, tiger, panther, cheetah or the puma.
Cats As Pets
Cats make one of the best pets because they are easy to maintain, intelligent and extremely loving. Training a cat however may prove a bit difficult especially if they are already mature because wild cats have the animal instincts strongly built in as well as a good defensive system, which is activated every time they feel in danger.
Methods To Tame A Wild Cat
There are a few methods you can apply to tame a wild cat depending on his or her age: you first must gain the confidence of the cat by showing that you pose to harm and the best way to do that is to offer him or her food. Wild cats appreciate food especially in the cold weather when it is very hard to find it by themselves.
Don’t attempt to give the cat food from your hand as they will definitely not approach you but place it on the floor in a clean dish or bowl. A wild cat will not get friendly overnight but finding a food source will return for more when it gets hungry and in due course you will be able to pet him or her and thus, tame it.
After you have made friends with a wild cat, which is only the first part of taming, you will have to groom him or her in order to be able to enjoy his or her company in the house and to do that you need to gradually strengthen your friendship everyday by first petting and caressing him or her in order to totally gain his or her trust.
Training A Wild Cat
Training a wild cat is probably the most difficult part as they have habits and instincts that they will not like to give up; most people who keep previous wild cats as pets let them roam freely as they please outdoors by making a dog trap in the main door because firstly they don’t like being confined to a closed place anymore and secondly some may find it impossible to get the cat to use the litter box.
Another great way to tame a wild cat and train it as well is to hire a professional trainer who will help you bring out the domestic side of the cat in only a few sessions, which can be done at home so you can continue them even after the sessions are over in case you need to.

You know all cats have ‘attitude’ right? I think that’s a well accepted fact. It’s also a fact that cats have quite individual personalities that set them apart from other pets. They are independent and selfish. The question is, are they reflecting their owner, or is it just a part of their particular breed?
If you try to compare them with say, Pit Bull Terriers. It’s true that this is an aggressive breed of dog, and, whilst they can be calm when with their owner, when they are off leash, well anything can happen. Compare them to, say, a Golden Labrador and you’ll see what a difference a breed makes. Is it the same with cats. Are tabby cats the angriest? Or black cats, do they own the title?
I’m happy to tell you that it has nothing to do with color, breed, or length of coat. It’s just a part of their little personalities. You won’t be able to predict it but you will get an idea from their early behavior. A small percentage of cats develop anti-social behavior and simply don’t like being petted. In fact it’s a bit like being a human isn’t it?
Do You Have The Angriest Cat?
I think it is helpful to think of an angry cat as a little human. What do you do to cure the temper tantrums. Well here are some steps and points you might want to consider:
1. Try to create and maintain a calm environment. Your new kitty can form some early habits based on early experiences. If the household has calm feeing there is a reduced likelihood of anxiety.
2. Give your new housemate some time to settle in. If he/she wants to hide under the bed, you can bet there may be a good reason, so let her stay there and come out when she wants to.
3. Remember that kitty is a sensitive creature by nature and can be easily spooked. If she doesn’t have the confidence to mix with the rest of the family immediately, a little time could be all that is required.
4. Even after the passage of time, perhaps kitty still wants time alone. This is normal in all animals including humans, so allow kitty time alone if that’s what she is seeking.
5. Remember that kitty may just be shy. People can be and so can cats. You may just have to accept kitty the way she is and leave her alone.
6. If you have adopted your cat and find that she is having difficulty settling in, remember her history may not have been a happy one and she is acting on past experiences whatever they may have been.
I hope the above thoughts have reduced your anxiety about owning the angriest cat in the town, and have helped you and, hopefully, kitty to adapt as naturally as possible to her new surroundings. And remember, there is always someone who has a story to tell as to why their cat is angrier than yours!
